The Commission for Financial Capability’s goal is building the financial capability of New Zealanders of all ages, to achieve better national, collective, and individual wellbeing. Led by the Retirement Commissioner the Commission provides financial education and carries out reviews of retirement income policies. It also has a monitoring role for the Retirement Villages Sector.
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Learning Designer to create, design, and curate leading-edge course content, delivery methods, assessments, and tools and resources for face to face, blended, and online learning environments. The role is responsible for the creation and deployment of high quality and engaging financial capability programmes that resonate with a wide variety of audiences leading to sustained behaviour change. The Designer will also ensure the review and continuous innovation and improvement of the Commission’s learning programmes and collaborate with key stakeholders in the financial literacy/capability sector (in NZ and internationally) to advance the development of content and modes of delivery for the Commission’s financial education programmes
In addition to relevant tertiary qualifications the ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with learning technologies and current and emerging learning theory its application
- At least 3-5 years experience in learning design and record of success in the development and design of blended and online learning content
- Experience in working with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand content requirements and formulate and develop learning objectives.
- Ability to develop and shape engaging content that resonates with a wide range of learning styles and abilities
